Regular priced one-way tickets are $27 for a ride between NYC and Bethesda, Md. or Arlington, Va. [Rosslyn]. We do have special offers including tickets from $1 and a free ticket after collecting 6 coupons.
$1.00 and $15.00 promotional fares are available for every departure for respective first and second individual on-line reservations for one-way scheduled trips. All other seats are $27 per person, one way. These offers can not be combined with any other promotional offer; other restrictions apply.

The primary way to purchase a ticket for Tripper Bus is online. This guarantees you a reservation. We also sell higher priced walkup fares but only on a space available basis. We recommend you buy a ticket in advance and save money.

Walk up fares: we will first board and seat the reserved passengers and if we have seats remaining we will offer walk up fares. Walk up fares will be sold on a first come first serve basis only if seats are available. The price of our walk up fares is available on our website. We can only accept cash for our walkup customers.

The average trip duration is 4 - 4 1/2 hours depending on traffic and weather conditions. Tripper Bus is not liable for delays caused by accidents, breakdowns, road conditions, weather and other conditions beyond its control and does not guarantee to arrive at or depart from any point at a specific time.

Passengers should arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time. Reservations are not guaranteed beyond that time and your seat may be offered to standby passengers. When you are late you lose your seat and the funds you used to purchase the seat.

A valid photo ID is required to board the bus. We will send you an email confirmation. We recommend you bring a copy of the email confirmation to board the bus.

A reservation is required to reserve a seat on the bus. Your reservation will be honored only if you arrive on time. Your reservation is valid only for travel on the schedule and date that you have reserved. If a passenger does not have a reservation for that schedule he/she can travel on a stand-by basis.

Yes, walk-ins are welcome, but we highly recommend reserving your seat ahead of time. Only reserved seats are guaranteed. Reservations also have priority when boarding.

This feature on our web site makes it faster and easier for travelers to reserve seats. You simply give us your information once. You may use more than one email address, however tickets or redeemable free tickets are not transferrable to other email addresses. Initial email addresses given when registered can only redeem tickets under the email address.

The more you travel with us, the more you save. Each time you reserve a trip online or by phone, you will earn 1 "Coupon" for each one-way segment of your trip. Collect 6 one-way coupons and you'll receive a free one-way ticket. Collect 3 round-trip coupons and receive a free one-way ticket. You must be registered on our website and reserve your trips ahead of time for us to be able to keep track of your trips. We will store your trip information, and notify you by email when you have earned a free ticket.

Tickets are non-refundable and only good for travel on the schedule and date that you have purchased. We therefore ask you to please be definite about your travel plans before booking a seat with us. If you miss your bus you lose your seat and the funds used to purchase the seat.

Yes. You can change the date or time of your reservation as long as it’s 12 hours prior to your trip. Canceling and modifying reservations can be done online by clicking here or by emailing us. If you need to modify a reservation within 12 hours of departure time then please call our office at 1-877-826-3874.

You can place your ticket on hold with us and make a new reservation at any time when you know the exact date you want to ride with us.

Yes. You can book a seat on our website for a passenger other then yourself and pay with your credit card.

Yes. Payment is required when you make your reservation. Because we do not offer refunds, please be sure about your travel plans when you book with us.

The seats in the front of the bus located behind and across from the driver are designated as priority seating to accommodate passengers with disabilities or other special needs. If these seats are occupied, the driver may ask the seated passenger to move to accommodate these special needs riders.

Our passengers will enjoy FREE complimentary internet service while on board. However, due to connection issues we can’t guarantee this service, as Wi-Fi connections may vary throughout the route.

You may bring a maximum of 2 pieces of luggage. The weight of each piece may not exceed 40 pounds. Tripper Bus is not responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property. You may bring along one small carry-on which should fit beneath your feet or in the overhead luggage compartment. Always keep your medicines and valuables with you. Do not leave them in your stowed baggage.

Yes. Please remember there is a three bag maximum.

Yes. Passengers need to be considerate with other riders when using cell phones. Please keep your conversations short in a low tone voice.

We provide priority seating for disabled or elderly passengers. If a bus with a wheelchair lift is needed, we will provide one upon request. Your request needs to be made at least 48 hours prior to your desired departure date. This advance notice is in accordance with federal guidelines and allows us to make the necessary arrangements to provide requested assistance.

No dogs, cats, birds, or other animals will be transported. However, we only allow service animals which are accompanying a special needs traveler who have a disability as defined by the American with Disabilities Act. The service animal is the responsibility of its owner at all times (i.e.) leash, harness or carrier.) Service animals must ride in the bus within the customer’s space and may not travel in the aisle or occupy a seat. Tripper Bus reserves the right to refuse passage to any animal that poses a direct threat to the health and safety of other customers or personnel.

In order for us to secure the health and safety of our passengers and drivers, smoking and drinking of alcoholic beverages is not allowed on any of our buses. Tripper Bus reserves the right to refuse to transport to (A) a person under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, (B) anyone who is incapable of taking care of him/herself. (This does not apply to persons who are accompanied by an attendant or nurse), or (C) anyone whose conduct is such or likely to be such as to make him or her objectionable to other passengers or prospective passengers. Passengers may transport unopened alcoholic beverages in their luggage for use at their destination. Non-alcoholic beverages and snacks are ok as long as they do not annoy the other passengers and the bus is kept clean. Always keep your medicines and valuables with you. Do not leave them in your stowed baggage.

To guarantee a seat, an e-mail address is mandatory for reservations. Once the reservation is confirmed, e-tickets will be sent to the said address. Walk-ups are always welcomed, but seating is based on availability after reserved passengers have been boarded.
