In Part One, we walked through what it’s like to ride with Tripper Bus from Arlington, VA or Bethesda, MD up to New York City. Now let’s talk about one of our favorite drop-off spots: Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
If you’ve never stepped off the bus in Williamsburg before, you’re in for a treat. It’s one of those neighborhoods that feels like its own little city within the city—buzzing with energy, culture, and some of the best food and views in all of New York.
When you ride with Tripper Bus, you don’t have to get off in Midtown. For a lot of travelers, Williamsburg is the better choice. It’s less hectic than Penn Station, but still super easy to get around from here. Grab a ride share, hop on the L train, or just stay local and explore—the neighborhood has enough to keep you busy for an entire trip.
The first thing you’ll notice when you step off the bus is the sheer number of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants within walking distance. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick slice of New York pizza, an Instagram-worthy brunch, or world-class international food, Williamsburg has it all.
Some local favorites to check out:

Devoción Coffee – A stunning café with Colombian coffee roasted right in Brooklyn. ig @Devocionus.a
Juliana’s Pizza – Old-school, thin-crust New York pizza at its finest. ig @julianaspizza
Williamsburg is also known for its shopping scene. Think boutique clothing stores, vintage shops, and plenty of local makers selling everything from handmade jewelry to vinyl records. If you love to browse and find one-of-a-kind items, this neighborhood is a goldmine.
One of Williamsburg’s best perks? The view of Manhattan. Head to the waterfront, and you’ll see the entire skyline stretched out in front of you. It’s the perfect spot for photos, an evening walk, or just taking a breath before you dive into the bustle of the city.
If you do want to venture further into Manhattan, no problem. The L train is just a short walk away, and a quick ride puts you right in Union Square. From there, you can connect to pretty much any subway line.
FAQ Tip: Riders often ask if the Williamsburg stop is a good option if their final destination is in Manhattan. The answer: it depends. If you’re headed anywhere downtown (East Village, Soho, Lower Manhattan), Williamsburg is often faster and more convenient than going into Midtown first.
Williamsburg is more than just a bus stop—it’s a neighborhood worth exploring. Even if you’re ultimately heading elsewhere in the city, consider taking an extra hour or two after your Tripper Bus ride to wander, grab a coffee, and enjoy the vibe before you move on.
